Start with each person's routine
Ask each person to gather the things they use in an ordinary week. Keep shared soap and other agreed communal items separate, rather than duplicating everything in every basket. A personal kit works best when it contains a manageable routine, not an entire product history. Follow each product's storage guidance, and place items that require a different environment elsewhere. The aim is fewer mix-ups and easier cleanup, not forcing every possession into identical containers.
Size the basket for carrying
Measure the tallest regular bottle and the shelf opening, including handles and any hinge obstruction. Test whether the loaded basket can be lifted with one comfortable movement. A very deep container hides small items and encourages overfilling. Put a simple name on the visible side, and agree where each basket belongs when not in use. If it will travel to the basin, leave a temporary landing area that does not block the person washing beside it.
Keep wet and stored items distinct
Do not return a wet basket to a closed cabinet without considering how it will dry. Follow container care instructions and choose an arrangement you can clean readily. Shared refills can live in one labeled area instead of occupying space in every kit. Revisit the contents together occasionally; unused extras can move out without disturbing the daily layout. If baskets repeatedly remain on the floor, their assigned shelf may be too inconvenient rather than the household being unwilling to tidy.
